When trying to make money online with Businesses from home, we all know that traffic is king and social book marking and article marketing are good ways to get that traffic to your Business from home. Two keys to success for getting the best results from article marketing are to publish articles frequently and to submit the articles to a large list of Ezine publishers. By the very nature of article marketing, we can ensure that the links we develop for our websites reside on web pages that are tightly focused and targeted to the content of our websites.

Articles that are used for article marketing tend to be short, so they will not take you long to read or write. Articles with well-written content have the potential of gaining the author business credibility within his or her market, as well as new clients for Businesses from home. Unfortunately, many beginners do not realize the importance of a good quality article and think that anybody can throw some words together. Articles that contain typos or are written with scant regard for grammar, present you and your site in poor light.

The first step in article marketing is to develop an article that is clearly written, provides value, and builds credibility. It is a case of following a few guidelines and most people can reap the rewards which come with good article marketing optimization. However, none of that will make any difference if you do not know the first steps in actually writing an article. Because articles become viral, your message literally travels far and wide, increasing traffic to your Business from home website and increasing newsletter signups.

An article has 5 key elements:

1. The Title. Make this key word rich at the start and make it long enough for you to entice the reader and tell them how it will benefit them. Titles are very important and should immediately capture the reader's attention.

2. The Introduction: Just a taste of what you will be writing about. This will usually be the first paragraph.

3. The Body. This is the beefy part of the article where you will elaborate on what you mentioned in the title. Use shorter paragraphs that reads easier and check with Directories how many words they will accept. It varies between 400 and 750. Do not make it too long though. The reader may loose interest and move on.

4. The conclusion. This will be a short summary of what you wrote about or it can even be a repeat of the introduction using a different way of saying it.

5. The Author/Bio box: Here you can put a link or links (depending on the directory) to you website. More about this in another article.

Have content that attracts hungry search engine spiders. Over and over again. Just make sure that your articles provide useful, fresh content. Most recently known by its new name, bum marketing, article marketing is a very viable long term approach to quickly and easily generate hundreds of one-way quality back links to your sales site, content site or blog. Therefore, it is important that you stake a claim for your content by promoting it on your website before any distribution effort. Whatever your area of expertise, there are people out there who want to learn more, and publishers who are looking for free content. The more thought you give to the content writing process, the more your content will appeal to your target audience. When people search for information on your topic, their search brings them to the directory, they read your article and they visit your site OR they may publish your article on their website, keeping all of the content, links, and your bio 100% intact,creating traffic for Businesses from home.

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

 ===> Intangible 1 <===

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money working from home. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money with your own home based business.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" (a simple way to make money from home) is the job of the future. In the "old" days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. In fact, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be IN THE RING to truly understand it.

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow. This is what I call "Making the Leap."

The good news is that the cost of failure with having your own home based business is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
